Beer Rebellion

Beer Rebellion

The pub is in trouble, so we're frequently told, but the micropub movement (whereby shops/restaurants/butchers, etc, are transformed into little boozers) suggests a viable future for Britain's most cherished institution. Beer Rebellion is a fine example of a micropub: upwardly-mobile Penge brewery Late Knights have created a genuine beer destination in an old Italian restaurant in one of London's less heralded neighbourhoods. The beer is top-quality (there's Late Knights, of course, but also Signature, Weird Beard, The Kernel and many others), and there's good cider, wine and whisky.
