King William IV
This is not your typical elegantly pared-back, fashionably scruffy middle-class craft beer den. This is a proper old-fashioned East End pub, and the bits and bobs (18th-century prints, Truman brewery mirrors) on the walls are not there for ironic effect. That one of the bits on the wall is a big f**k-off telly screen (generally showing sport) demonstrates that effectively enough. Beer lovers, though, are as welcome as anyone thanks to this being Brodies’ brewery tap: as many as 16 of their beers are on offer at any one time, all in tip-top condition as you’d expect.
