Pembury Tavern

Pembury Tavern

If you go down to the crossroads, you might not be able to sell your soul (apparently The Devil does it all online these days) but you should find a nice pint of beer. The Pembury – a huge barn of a pub situated at the coming together of what sometimes seems like about 13 different roads – boasts 16 handpumps, many of which feature the handiwork of Cambridge’s Milton Brewery. There are three beer festivals a year and some decent beers in the fridge, too – try La Chouffe’s IPA or the classic north German lager, Jever.
