Whyte & Brown

Whyte & Brown

"We love free-range chicken and we love craft beer," it says above the kitchen hatch at Whyte & Brown. 'Put them together and you get a perfect combination." A bold claim, but this quirky restaurant (which specialises not only in chicken but eggs, too) makes a decent case. The menu stretches from the classic (ham, chicken and leek pie) to the quirky (Bangkok Scotch Egg) and there are suggested beer matches for a number of the dishes. These are pretty much all spot-on: particularly good is a chicken casserole with Moor's hoppy session classic, Revival. Expect to find beers not only from Moor, but Ilkley, HardKnott, Pressure Drop and Beavertown too.
