Blythe Hill Tavern - Catford

Blythe Hill Tavern - Catford

It’s not often that you sit down and realise the chap at the table next to you is reading a hefty tome on Ireland in the 17th century, but the Blythe Hill Tavern is a pretty unusual pub. This is, indeed, an Irish pub, but expect no ersatz Oirishness here; just excellent service, good conversation and some very decent beer. Yes, there’s Guinness but Dark Star and Harvey’s – Sussex’s twin titans of brewing – are also available.
