All the meat served at this perfectly-pitched Islington gastropub is butchered on site: this is a good thing, apparently. None of the beer is brewed on site, alas, and much of what appears on the bar is none-too-thrilling. What you'll find in the fridges, though, is rather more exciting: there's bottles from The Kernel, Camden Town, Brooklyn, Odell, Meantime, Dark Star, Windsor and Eton and many more. Come with a full wallet if you're aiming to find out which one works perfectly with the 40-day-aged rib of Hereford beef.
