Bell, The

The Bell

The Bell is a classic suburban boozer: huge, Victorian and situated on a slightly grim, hugely busy junction. Inside there's a mixture of period features and a job-lot of mismatched wooden furniture that looks to have done prior service in kitchens, churches and schools across East London. But what of the beer? There are plenty of handpumps, on which you might find something from Dark Star, Williams Brothers, Brodie's or Titanic, among others. The keg beer is nothing to write home about but there's BrewDog, Meantime and Goose Island in the fridge.
