Elgin, The

The Elgin

Given its location, this modishly-decorated Maida Vale pub-cum-cafe-cum-restaurant should be cherished. It's rare to find a decent range of varied, interesting beer around these parts, so The Elgin's selection (Camden Town, Meantime and Adnams on draught, with a wide range of well-chosen bottles, including Weird Beard, Partizan and Scottish craftsters Tempest, rarely seen this far south) deserves support. There's also good coffee, cider and a jolly grey elephant on the wall. Your best bet when you're in this part of town.
