The Queen’s Head

It’s impossible to walk into The Queen’s Head and not wish this was your local. Sure, it hasn’t got the widest selection of beers in the capital (although it’s far better than most), but everything seems so well chosen: the handpumps might include Kentish icons Gadd’s, Bristol Beer Factory or Dark Star – while those with more continental tastes can choose between a bottle of the magnificent Saison Dupont, for example, or Kriek Boon on tap. The clientele is young but not intimidatingly so and there is regular music, although it should be noted that sometimes that music is jazz. Well, nowhere’s perfect.
